Approach

I / Our approachQwarter Studio

Qwarter is a design
and advisory firm.

We work with you to incubate new products and bring existing ones into the agentic age.

We’ve built some of the world’s biggest technologies and brands. Now, we embed in your team to build what’s next: software, AI agents, mobile apps, robots and more.

Thesis

Building a product in an agentic world requires a whole new way of thinking.

Building is cheap now, so everyone is shipping, and most of it looks the same. The products that win start with the right idea, carry a brand people trust, and launch to an audience that is already waiting.

Qwarter works with the people accountable for the outcome to find that idea, then design it, brand it and launch it with the highest odds of working.

The laboratory

Think together.
Make something.

Four places we keep coming back to.
And a way of working worth keeping.

  1. 1876
Workers outside Edison’s main laboratory at Menlo Park, around 1880.
    Edison’s laboratory, c. 1880 · NPS

    Menlo Park

Experimenters and machinists under one roof. Edison makes invention a team effort.

  2. 1948
Claude Shannon working at a blackboard with colleagues at Bell Labs.
Claude Shannon · Nokia Bell Labs

    Bell Labs

Shannon gives information a mathematical language. A foundation for the digital world.

  3. 1968
Douglas Engelbart wearing a headset during the 1968 demonstration.
    Douglas Engelbart · SRI

    SRI

A mouse. Hypertext. People editing together from different places. Engelbart’s team shows it working.

  4. 1973
An Alto computer and removable disk packs in Paul McJones’s office at Xerox PARC in 1980.
Alto at PARC, 1980 · Computer History Museum

    Xerox PARC

The Alto puts a screen, a mouse and a new way of working on a desk. The future becomes something you can use.

    Our turn.

Bring the thinking and the making into the same room.

    Build with us
The team

We embed in your team to build what’s next.

The work

Software, AI agents, mobile apps, robots and more.

The outcome

The right idea, designed, branded and launched.

Something on your mind?

Let’s build what’s next

Qwarter is a studio that helps people slow down, tune in, and define what’s real —

then turns that clarity into websites, applications, and words that feel true to who they are.

We’re a team that believes small is plenty. It’s why we operate with a lean, nimble team—focused, intentional, and ready to tackle what needs to be done. We skip the bloat and get straight to the point, because in the world of software, simple always wins.

How Much Do Your Services Usually Run?

It depends entirely on the scope of the project but pricing may vary anywhere between the cost of a michelin star restaurant experience to an original painting by Picasso.

Why Don't I Just Hire My Own Developer?

If you can find another developer that writes code like Steve Wozniak and has the design eye of Leonardo DaVinci, be our guest.

Additionally, Qwarter functions like a full stack design and engineering department (similar to Startups). For the price of a single senior-level engineer, you get two to three senior-level engineers and designers.

How Does It Work?

STEP 1: THE RENDEZVOUS

You tell us what you want. We tell you what it costs.

We haggle like spice merchants peddling saffron in an ancient Babylonian bazaar.

When it feels fair on both sides, we schedule a kickoff call and get to know your ideas better than your partner does.

STEP 2: THE SILENCE

You leave us alone for 2 weeks.

Why? Because we have an unspoken pact with our in-house muse:

If we say our prayers, limit the booze, and sit down at our desks every day—uninterrupted—she whispers brilliance in our ears.

STEP 3: THE EXHIBITION

We reconvene and present our work with as much flair as Dennis Rodman on the ’96 Bulls.

Want us to present in person? Happy to.

We fly first-class—and we’re not punching our own ticket.

Zoom is cheaper.

STEP 4: THE ALTERATION

You circle the wagons and send us your notes.

Barring holidays or global catastrophe, revised work is back in your hands within 48 hours .

How Quickly Will I Receive the Final Product?

From start to finish, our projects run approximately 24 days. The first round of edits is turned around in 14 days. The final round of edits is turned around in 7 days. We add in a 3 day buffer for any unexpected hiccups.
